Manuel José Molano Ruiz

Economist from ITAM and Imperial College London. Professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey since 2021. He worked at IMCO from 2006 to 2021, holding various positions such as consultant, deputy general director, chief economist, and general director. Previously, he worked at SAGARPA from 2001 to 2006. He is a specialist in forecasting and quantitative models, and a columnist for El Financiero.

Ana Ambrosi

Ana joined Avocados From Mexico as the Director of Corporate Communications and Crisis in 2020. Her international business and U.S-Mexico relations experience has helped her develop AFM’s corporate communication strategy, consolidate the company’s narrative for consistency and alignment, manage the marketing PR program, and build AFM’s corporate communication area. As a public affairs professional, Ana has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and political communications, international affairs, and media relations, and has worked in a variety of industries including government, education, aviation, and health.

José Armando López Orduña

José Armando López Orduña has experience in agriculture engineering, soil and water conservation, economic development, and promotion of foreign investment for the State of Michoacán. Orduña also serves as the Executive Director of the world leading association of Avocado Exporting Producers and Packers of Mexico (APEAM). He is a member of the founding board of La Salle Morelia University and advises at the Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Monterrey.

Dan Hanselka

Dan is an Extension Program Specialist in the Department of Agricultural Economics.

Dr. Gary W. Williams

Dr. Williams is Professor of Agricultural Economics and Co-Director of the Agribusiness, Food, and Consumer Economics Research Center (AFCERC). He is the AFCERC chief operations officer responsible for managing the research program of the Center and leads AFCERC research and outreach projects relating to commodity and agribusiness markets and policy and international trade and policy. He is also Senior Scientist, Norman Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture. His areas of teaching and research emphases include commodity promotion programs, international agricultural trade and development, agricultural policy, and marketing and price analysis. Dr. Williams was raised in Lubbock, Texas and is a 1968 graduate of Monterey High School. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University (1978 and 1981) and a B.S. in Economics from Brigham Young University (1974).

María Isabel Larragoiti

Maria has worked at the Association of Avocado Producers and Packers Exporters of Mexico (APEAM) for over 8 years and is responsible for general strategic coordination and sustainability projects in the avocado industry of Mexico.
