From Harvest to Table

One of the things that we are very proud of in this industry is the ability to integrate a large number of very small farmers. There are approximately 34,000 growers and 90 packers, and the vast majority are cultivating in less than 5 acres. Through every step of the supply chain, rigorous guidelines are enforced. These standards start at the orchards, where avocados are harvested with a specially designed pole directly from the tree, as avocados that have touched the ground are not approved for export.
