Megan is a seasoned professional in the field of environmental conservation, with a passion for safeguarding biodiversity and promoting sustainable practices. With a background in communication and business strategy, Megan joined Forests for Monarchs as Executive Director in 2017, bringing a wealth of experience and a commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.
Megan holds a Bachelor’s degree from Emerson College and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, combining her passion for environmental conservation with a strong foundation in business management. Her education has equipped her with the skills to navigate the intersection of conservation and business, making her a dynamic leader in the nonprofit sector.
In addition to her academic achievements, Megan brings years of fundraising and development experience in the nonprofit sector to her role. Additionally, she worked in the high-end wood furniture industry, where she promoted sustainability initiatives. Megan also serves as a consultant to a domestic and sexual violence crisis center in Southern New Hampshire.

Juan Rafael Elvira is an agricultural engineer and holds a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering. Since December 1, 2006, he has served as Secretary of the Environment and Natural Resources in the government of Felipe Calderón Hinojosa.
Dr. Oral Capps, Jr.
Oral Capps, Ph.D. is an Executive Professor, Regents Professor and holder of the Southwest Dairy Marketing Endowed Chair in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University. He also serves as co-director of the Agribusiness, Food, and Consumer Economics Research Center (AFCERC). Capps is nationally and internationally recognized leader in demand analysis, specializing in working with large data bases. Applied research areas include analysis of expenditure patterns of prepared foods and foods eaten away from home, analysis of health and nutrition issues, uses of scanner-derived information for managerial decision-making in food retailing, unilateral price effects of mergers and acquisitions; and analysis of regional, national, and international markets for the agricultural, agribusiness, and financial sectors.

Ron Campbell
Ron Campbell currently works as an Independent Consultant, specializing in technical trade issues and government relations. He is also the Executive Director for the Mexican Hass Avocado Importers Association (MHAIA), and the Secretary for the Board of Directors at Avocados From Mexico.
Campbell previously gained experience as the Director of Phytosanitary Issues for the Western Hemisphere, Plant Protection and Quarantine Programs, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS, PPQ), where he had a major leadership role in planning, coordinating and directing APHIS plant health programs involving import and export trade in plants, plant products and fruit and vegetables.
Campbell has also obtained experience in port operations and inspection, business advisory and advocacy, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture.
Tina L. Saitone
Tina L. Saitone is a cooperative extension specialist focused on Livestock and Rangeland Economics in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Davis and the director of the Agribusiness Executive Seminar. Dr. Saitone conducts research on a broad range of topics in agricultural economics including food quality and safety, agricultural cooperatives, industry competition, generic commodity promotion, federal and state marketing orders, and supplementary feeding programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
